Trust the Journey — What Happens in Life Is for the Best

How many times have we found ourselves disappointed when a particular wish doesn't come true? We find ourselves lost and cursing destiny. But more often than not, what happens to us is for our best. We don’t believe it at first, but you need to trust the journey, trust the process.

I have found myself in similar situations. I believed that my entire life would be spent in the wait for things to happen. I wasn’t inspired or motivated. None of the self-help articles, books, videos helped me. They seemed too ideal to apply in real-life. I did all that I can to distract myself. Cooking, cleaning, working, learning, reading, binge-watching but once the activity was finished, I was back to square one.

I still haven’t figured out what’s coming up next for me. But at least now I have learned to trust the journey. This realization wasn’t sudden. I worked on myself, I worked on my strengths, I worked on making better relations, I worked on accepting the past.

Better things may happen in the future. But for now, I’m just going where the road takes me and I may find things that were never anticipated.

Ending this with a quote, that everyone should believe in.

There will come a time when you believe everything is finished. Yet that will be the beginning.

- Louis L’Amour
